What a week…! San Francisco was buzzing with anticipation for our 49′ers impending Super Bowl appearance. I decided to pack up The Smooshy and head home to spend time with family and watch the game where we all grew up watching the 49′ers, in Joe Montana days.
Even though we suffered a sad loss, the weekend wasn’t a waste. It was filled with delightful moments:
one Dressing Rufus in his 49′er t-shirt. He matched his family; we all dressed up in gear to show support for our team!
two Preparing a fancy AND healthy Super Bowl menu with my mom, which included chili, fondue, chicken wings, avocado, capers and smoked salmon dip, and a deeeeelicious gluten-free, caramel pear-cranberry cake prepared in the Crockpot. I ate and ate…and then ate some more out of mild depression over our loss.
three Having a fun photo shoot at the local park with my brother, throwing the football around with Ru. Ru is always as happy as can be when he has vast greenery to explore and a ball he can deflate.
four I was on a mission to get a new 49′ers sweatshirt since the one I owned was old and seen better days. Unfortunately, I waited entirely too long and when I started searching it was bare bones everywhere I went. Luckily for me they had a cute sweatshirt in youth large which fit me like a glove. SCORE! I also painted my nails gold and red for a little finishing touch.
five Coming home from the gym to a gorgeous sunset outside my parent’s house. There was a lovely reddish-pink hue throughout the cloud-dotted sky, Super Bowl eve.
six Signing up for BlogShop: Photoshop for Bloggers’, San Francisco class! April cannot get here soon enough.
seven Getting accepted into the IFB (Independent Fashion Bloggers) network. I think it’s going to create a lot of networking opportunities for me! I’m excited to connect with other like-minded writers.
While I know our 49′ers have seen better weeks, I hope that even if you were a die-hard fan you enjoyed yourself, the game, and ultimately had a lovely week. Good game, Team…good game.
