Bobby Berk Home Designer Dog Bowls

I’ve been on the hunt for some new dog bowls for the Smoosh (he’s using some ugly plain metal bowls…blech) and haven’t found anything that’s really stood out to me. Until yesterday, that is; I came across Bobby Berk Home‘s freakin’ adorable designer hanging dog bowls.

They’re so cute I want one for every breed!! If I had a big home with multiple dogs (an English Bulldog, French Bulldog, and a Pug… I’m not planning ahead at all), I’d mount these and line them up side-by-side at the appropriate Smoosh height… you know, for ergonomic eating.

Meet The Smooshies

As many of you are well aware, I write about Smooshies (no, you don’t say)… A LOT. I tend to focus on English Bulldogs because they’re my favorite, naturally, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate ALL the other Smooshy breeds out there (or non-smooshy breeds for that matter).

Smooshy is just an endearing way of describing the brachycephalic (having a short, broad head) breeds. There are A LOT of dogs that fall under this category – like all of the above! Although this is in no way an exhaustive list of brachycephalic breeds; this is a good representation of the population.

What’s your favorite Smooshy breed? If I didn’t live in San Francisco and was somewhere a little more farm-like with more space; I’d have one of each; a Smooshy farm!

Also, even though some of these breeds don’t necessarily have as many wrinkles as an English Bulldog, this still applies.

I adore these Marc Jacobs iPhone cases of a Boston Terrier and English Bulldog. I’m going to have to just bite the bullet on this one and spend the $48 for a cute smooshy case.

I’ve started a new category called, Your Daily Smoosh Face, on Canines & Couture… because the world needs more photos of smooshy dog faces. That’s the world I want to live in… one that’s filled with Boston Terriers kissing and smooshy faces.

Dog Bow Tie by Little Blue Feathers on Etsy

While I certainly have a soft spot for people who dress up their dogs in elaborate outfits, I personally enjoy adding just a little bit of flare to the Smoosh. A fancy collar will do the trick! I came across an Etsy shop owner, Little Blue Feathers and instantly fell in love with her dog bow ties and other ridiculously cute, Boston Terrier lovin’ merchandise.
